Summary: Under general direction and collaboration, incumbent(s) is responsible for coordination and facilitation of supporting both novice and experienced teachers to ensure the retention of competent and valued professional teaching staff.  Responsibilities will include providing coordination of teacher induction programs as well as assisting campus leadership teams with identifying necessary learning opportunities and coaching for teachers. In addition to understanding effective, research-based teacher induction and development standards and delivery models, the Coordinator of Teacher Support will demonstrate knowledge of the skills necessary to meet the needs of diverse learners. The ability to effectively determine professional learning needs through the use of data is essential. The goal of this position is to make significant contributions to improving student achievement by designing, delivering and promoting high quality teacher induction and support in order to meet the district’s high expectations for each student, teacher and administrator.
