Summary:

 

Under general supervision, the incumbent(s) handles all processes, and responsibilities of a Field Technican.  The incumbent(s) will work with the Systems Support Supervisor in processing vendor orders, processing warranty issues, and future decisions regarding new equipment. This position will also be primarily responsible for building software and operating system images. The Senior Field Technician will also assist other field technicians at any of the schools whenever necessary. The incumbent(s) sets up computer hardware and installs software applications, troubleshoots and repairs computer-related problems, and repairs audio and visual equipment.  Incumbent(s) travels to various sites and determines whether set up, installation, and repairs can be performed at user site or at the systems support workstation.   Incumbent(s) provides user support by responding to inquiries, maintaining pleasant and supportive service, and following up to ensure user satisfaction.
